The SLIK PRO 634 CF weighs slightly more than 2 lbs. making it an easy backpacking companion.  It extends to a height of 63 inches and folds down to a compact 18 inches for travel. This tripod handles up to 7 lbs easily. Use it with high-end mirrorless cameras or professional camera bodies with a variety of lenses.

All 600 series carbon fiber tripods have legs made up of carbon fiber material that is actually comprised of 8 layers of inter-woven carbon strands that are then bonded together in a sealed, high-pressure furnace producing strong, lightweight carbon fiber. The legs also feature A.R.S (Anti-Rotational System). This does not allow the individual leg sections to rotate inside each other.

Each leg also has an independent lock that sets in one of 3 angles to vary the height and stance of the tripod. The three settings are for maximum height, waist level, or low angle photography close to the ground. The four-leg sections are secured and loosened with twist locks. Because the legs are non-rotating, you can unlock all of a leg’s stages at once by twisting the three large rubber grips with one hand. This enables fast setup.

    The majority of my hunts are deep into the backcountry. Weight plays such a key factor into what gear I am willing to bring. I purchased this tripod along with an Outdoorsman Micro Panhead. The combination was great for supporting my binos and kept my system light. The tripod performed just as I had hoped. The twist tighten legs worked flawlessly. I definitely think having a tripod setup improved my glassing sessions.

    Perfect for my needs

    Light wt, quick, but solid height adjustments. I am 5 11 & standing height is more than adequate for my straight barrel scope or to use as a rifle rest. I purchased the pistol grip head with it. Really made a versatile & fast combination for my bino, small spotting scope & rifle. Very pleased with is tripod.

    Very impressed with this pod.

    So far so good. I have a few early hunts planned were it will be put to the test. The final test will be in MT on a mule deer rut hunt in some windy country. Can't wait o give it a go there. Super impressed thus far. Easy adjustments, light wait and small. I have the pistol grip on it now and this is a perfect set up for my needs.
